LE STELLE DI VETRO

Dido is a lighthouse keeper.
He lives alone on an island, too far from the mainland.
But he is a very lucky man.
He's lucky because he has got the power of waking up with the identities of other people, so he can live the lives of those men and he can tell about them.

Set during the Second World War, different stories of different men weave together the one of the lighthouse keeper, a man who is able to "speak" with the sea.

"Le stelle di vetro" is a story of loneliness, pain and hope.

In the future, the "Discipline" gets the full control of human life; it keeps men segregated in an apparently perfect society where feelings, emotions and instincts are forbidden. Things, actions, ethics and morals are exclusively ruled and led by a blind new rationality. No love, no emotion, no enjoyment are permitted, neither people are allowed to smile showing their teeth or to listen to farytales.
But secretly and since he was a child, Henrìs is brought up by his Uncle Just, who keeps telling him beautiful stories. Thanks to him, Henrìs grows differently to the other children: so he can smile, he takes care of his frog, he ends up falling in love with a girl. Suddenly he understands he can "choose" his way of life.
This difficult and slow choice leads him to be one against this "social pattern" and to realise that his real life it's not the same he was told about and made to believe...
